Heat Stress – Know the Signs

Summer is upon us and the temperature and heat index are on the rise.   Know the symptoms of heat stress illnesses:

Here are some tips:

  1.  Drink 4 cups of water every hour.
  2.  Drink before you feel thirsty.
  3.  Drinks with alcohol, caffeine, and sugar can cause dehydration.
  4.  Wear light-weight, light-colored, and loose-fitting clothes.
  5.   Take breaks in the shade often.

Report any heat illness symptoms immediately to your Supervisor and then to Tidewater Staffing at 757-321-6415.
