Marine Rigger

Pay Range: $17 to $27 per hour
Plus comprehensive benefits

Responsibilities:

• Plan, inspect, and safely rig loads for lifting and movement.
• Select and assemble the appropriate rigging equipment for each lift.
• Perform pre-use inspections of slings, shackles, hooks, chains, and other rigging hardware.
• Guide and secure heavy loads during lifting, positioning, and installation.
• Communicate effectively with crane operators, supervisors, and crew members using standard hand signals and verbal communication.
• Follow OSHA, client, and company safety procedures throughout all rigging operations.
• Maintain, inspect, and properly store rigging equipment after use.
• Assist with general shipyard operations while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Two or more years of marine, shipyard, industrial, or construction rigging experience.
• Working knowledge of rigging equipment, load control, and safe lifting practices.
• NCCCO certification preferred or required based on project assignment.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and shipyard safety standards.
• Ability to read work instructions, lift plans, and basic drawings.
• Ability to work safely at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Physically capable of lifting, climbing, bending, and performing demanding manual labor.
• Strong communication skills, teamwork, and commitment to workplace safety.
