Description

Tidewater Staffing is seeking dependable Forklift Operators to support warehouse, distribution, and logistics operations throughout Hampton Roads. Successful candidates will safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment while receiving, storing, picking, and shipping materials in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload trailers, flatbeds, containers, and warehouse deliveries.
• Operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment, including stand-up lifts, order pickers, and electric pallet jacks as assigned.
• Receive, move, stage, and organize materials within the warehouse.
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Use RF scanners and warehouse inventory systems to track materials.
• Inspect shipments for damage or shortages and report discrepancies.
• Shrink wrap and secure pallets for storage and transportation.
• Meet productivity, quality, and on-time shipping goals.
• Follow OSHA, company, and client safety procedures.
• Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous forklift, warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience preferred.
• Valid forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
• Experience operating forklifts, stand-up lifts, order pickers, or similar equipment preferred.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, stand, and work throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to workplace safety.
