● Must meet all Journeyperson Work Authorization Coordinator (WAFCOR) 3
● Proficient in preparing, submitting and monitoring a Corrective Action Report (CAR)
● Proficient in maintaining subordinate WAFCOR timesheet records in WORKTECH
● Proficient in maintaining Work Packages and submitting Condition Found Reports
● Proficient in monitoring and managing budgeted WAFCOR man hours
● Proficient in maintaining accurate, updated VSRA WAF database for all contractors
● Proficient in entering required information into the EPO WAF Logs
● Proficient in formatting Project Labor Detail (PLD) Reports and reconcile incorrect

● Must meet all Journeyperson Work Authorization Coordinator 2 requirements
● Coordinate Work Authorization Coordinator/ Technician assignments to customer ships
● Facilitate Virginia Ship Repair Association (VSRA) Work Control/ WAF group training
● Coordinate initial Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) Code 246 Work Control & Project
Orientation Brief (POB)
● Track and ensure completion of all daily and required NASSCO Training for WAFCORS

● Must meet all Journeyperson Work Authorization Coordinator 1 requirements
● Assist RAR in establishing an Electronic Work Authorization Form (EWAF) account and
provide training as needed
● Write WAF status and progress reports as required by the Project Team
● Review U.S. Navy Standard Items 009-24 and 009-106 and recommend changes to
annual SSRAC as required
● Review Tag-Out User’s Manual (TUM) and recommend changes as required
● Review Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) and recommend changes as required
● Certify work completion to support testing and meeting Key Events and Milestone


● Review submitted WAFs for completeness and accuracy
● Review contract work specifications, U.S. Navy drawings and Standard Items associated
with submitted WAFs
● Process WAFs in an accurate and timely manner
● Process WAF Revisions when initiated by Repair Activity Representatives (RAR)
● Process Stop WAFs, maintain Stop WAF Log and monitor until re-authorized
● Instruct Ship’s Force (S/F) personnel in the Work Authorization/WTC/Tag-Out Program
as it pertains to WAF processing
● Maintain S/F and RAR WAF training Records
● Provide customer service interface between RAR and S/F in order to resolve potential
WAF/ Tag-Out conflicts
● Maintain WAF Log Index, track and monitor WAF process from receipt to closing
● Conduct WAF Surveillance, spot check job, complete and submit Surveillance Report
