Pay rate: Based On Experience

Ship fitter Helpers are an essential member of the shipfitter team. They clean parts, prep materials and assist the shipfitters.

Shipfitter Helper duties include:

• Clean parts for the boats using hand tools and grinders
• Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications, using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes
• Assist with aligning and fitting parts according to specifications, using jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars, and hammers
• Any miscellaneous duties as may be required

Experience:

• Experience working in an industrial setting preferred
• Ability to use grinders and hand tools
• Ability to work outdoors in any weather
