• Perform dimensional and visual inspections, both in process and end item

• Measure and report various aspects of job requirements to management

• Coordinate with department members on all issues and audits

• Check on the work and assure the correct use of procedures, materials, processes and technical instructions

• Perform non-destructive inspections on all components, in accordance with specifications, blueprints and work procedures

• Attend production meetings in order to keep current on progress

• Work with other personnel to resolve problems and prevent possible negative trends

• Record, organize and evaluate test results and generate NDT and QA inspection reports

• Demonstrate knowledge of VT, PT, UT and MT NDT requirements

• Proficient in blueprint reading and or interpretation of technical data packages


• Must have a minimum of 3-4 years of ship repair experience and qualifications.

• Must have NAVSEA Basic Paint Inspector qualification


• Must be able to speak and understand Basic English
