Outside Machinist (Local and Non-Local)

OUTSIDE MACHINISTS are skilled in the installation of propulsion machinery, sea valves, steering gear, anchor handling equipment, elevators, pumps, ventilation fans, cooling coils, refrigeration units, compressors, weapons systems, remote operators, radars, and antennas.

Pay rate:

• $20 per hour up to $26 per hour depending on experience
• Weekly Pay
• Shift to be Discussed

Qualifications:

• Read blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements
• Has first-hand experience with a broad range of shipboard machinery as related to assembly, disassembly, repair, inspection, diagnosis and testing requirements and procedures
• Advanced knowledge of shipbuilding standards (009-24)
• Advanced knowledge of inspection standards (009-58
• Reliable Transportation
• Willing to work 10-12 hrs 6-7 days per week
• Willing to work night shift when needed.
• DBIDS and TWIC eligible

• Marine OSHA Safety Training (10 Hours)
