Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to the following. Other duties as
assigned.
- Inspect worksites and clear them of debris to make them accessible for installing floors.
- Confer with clients and contractors to determine the type of floors that are apt for the
project. - Measure areas to determine the quantity of materials needed.
- Create and maintain liaison with vendors and suppliers to obtain on-time deliveries of
supplies. - Study blueprints and sketches to determine construction layouts.
- Sweep scrape, sand or chip dirt and irregularities from base surfaces in a bid to ready
them for flooring installation. - Install floors using adhesives, plaster or cement and ensure that they are fixed properly.
- Cut and shape flooring materials using a variety of hand and power tools so that they can
be used as skirting or baselines. - Fill cracks with putty or cement and ensure that any leftover materials are immediately
cleaned away. - Apply sealers and varnishing on finished floors and ensure that they are polished at the
end of the project - Experience working in a physically demanding environment.
- Understands and obeys all posted warning, caution, notifications and/or hazards signs
posted on a job site. - Must be a team player willing to work outside scope of work if needed on projects.
Experience:
Must have three (2) or more years of experience.
Qualifications:
US work authorization (Required)
High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Pass a drug screen
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in both offices and customer facilities, shipyards and vessels.
Must be able to access all areas of shipyard and company property including shipyard and
shipyard offices, dry-docks and terminals in all types of weather conditions. Use of safety
equipment, such as hard hat and safety glasses and steel toed shoes is required. Some overtime
and on-call status is required and employee may be required to work more than normal 40 hour
week, including weekends. Regular and predictable attendance is required of this position.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit/stand, walk,
climb and kneel, use hands or fingers, handle and feel; talk, hear and see with close vision. The
employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Must have the ability to move
easily between buildings, ascend/descend stairs and go outdoors in construction sites in all kinds
of weather, and be able to climb ladders and over bulwarks for vessel site visits.
Base Access: Must be able to obtain and maintain access to U.S Military bases and private
shipyards for the performance of job duties.
